So the hardware is better, and building the thing is likely cheaper for them, but the end-user hasn't benefited as much as their marketing would have you believe.
So I guess what I am saying is:
If you buy the Evo, at a discount, it is a gamble that Ti fix what can be fixed (startup experience, slower performance, add Science Tools), the community fix some other stuff (i.e.. missing software), and that you can live with the "Simplified Keyboard"/layout issues.

I've been wondering why this dropped so quickly. It's barely more than a TI-84 CE Plus now.
The USB-C is nice, but not that big of a deal. The larger screen is appreciated.
Also, this is the newest standard calculator for tests.
I am sure so many people cheat with these calculators. Exam admins are supposed to set calculators to exam mode - I doubt many do.

I'm wondering if the USB-mini issue can be fixed by one of these magnetic connector adapters I have lying around. I don't think it works for fw updates but for charging should be nice & easy. Hopefully the adapter doesn't interfere with the cover or anything.
