Got this for my wife for when she travels. I've heard of scammers who ask to use your phone's flashlight because they "lost something" and then snatch your phone from you after you pull it out.

She already uses a lanyard to keep her phone attached to her wrist, but better safe than sorry.

That being said, the flashlight is bright, ultra compact and I feel better knowing she has it.

I bought this on 5/22/25 at retail price of $14. Now, the retail price is $20! That's 30% increase, which is way more than CPI increase. It's a great little flashlight though, very bright for its compact size.

I like the IDEA of this light and I had one on my car keychain for a year, but since I almost always have my phone on me when I have my keys on me, I was pulling out my phone instinctively first. I am also not a fan of having a bunch of crap on my keys since the extra weight just dangles from the vehicle ignition and feels bulker in the pocket.

If I commuted to work every day by foot/transit with a backpack or suitcase, I would put it on that though.

I don't use it a ton, but there have been several times it's saved my butt. Love it.

Seems super inconvenient to have to remove the keychain ring every time you want to charge it.

it is very inconvenient and one of the reasons why I don't really carry it around. I would much rather the charging portion be on the light itself.

Right. That's exactly what I was picturing.. just a terrible design decision.

This is much better than the cell phone flashlight. It has a magnet for attaching to a metal surface and it's really easy to hold in your mouth if that's all you can do. Perfect amount of light for moving through a dark room. Also, it's just good for reducing the amount of times you are instinctively reaching for the phone.

I bought a couple of these a few months ago. They're great lights as long as you aren't actually putting them on a keychain (otherwise, you have to remove the keychain in order to charge it). I carry mine in a backpack and it has come in handy many times, very bright little light and the fact that it has a magnet makes it significantly more useful.

It's especially useful when trying to do something like working inside of a PC case, as you can just attach it to the side with the magnet and get light into what would otherwise be an awkward location to hold a phone or flashlight.
