I bought a couple of these around the 4th of July sale.

I set one up for my 83yr old mother and she has issues navigating with the Roku remote.

I wonder if a voice remote would be better or if I need to put a fire stick on it as she had that figured out - but it kinda defeats the purpose to add a streaming device to a TV with it built in.

The remote works fine. She probably will have issues with other remotes too. Once she gets used to it, it should be fine.

Just got this TV two weeks ago. It is a great deal for Roku TV. The other deals in this price range are for Fire TVs or Vizio TVs. I personally find Fire TV to be more buggy and the remote is not easy for senior citizens.

Can you have it power on to an input instead of fire tv? Tempted to have this plus a Google tv box as my bedroom tv.
