Dr Pepper Blackberry Zero Sugar is a blackberry soda with a strong cold-drink appeal, especially when served very cold or mixed with Blackberry Crown. The flavor gets praise for its creamy coconut note and for being enjoyable enough to finish a pack, with strawberry called the best flavor in the lineup. The main drawback is taste, which is described as weak on blackberry and sometimes closer to cough syrup or sunscreen than soda. It also seems better suited to smaller packs than a larger stock-up.
Common Questions (5)
It is better suited to a 6- or 12-pack than a larger buy if you are unsure about the flavor. The taste is polarizing enough that some people only want a small quantity on hand.
The blackberry note is fairly weak, with the flavor reading more like a mild berry soda than a bold blackberry drink. One pack was also reported to have almost no syrup, which would make the flavor even lighter.
Yes, it tastes noticeably better when very cold. Chilling it well helps the flavor come through more cleanly.
Yes, it works well mixed with Blackberry Crown. The blackberry soda flavor makes it a natural mixer for that drink.
No, the checkout total can be much higher if the seller adds a delivery fee and the 3-pack discount or coupon does not apply automatically. One cart showed a $31.51 total instead of the advertised deal price because of seller-specific charges.
