The refurbished Sony WH 1000XM6 stands out for top tier sound and noise cancelling, with several reports that units arrive looking brand new and include the case and cables. The sound is described as highly detailed and even better after EQ tuning, and pairing is quick. A few caveats come up around refurb condition and reliability, including visible scuffs or dirt on some units, occasional clipping or popping in the right ear cup, and rare microstutters on a Google TV Streamer. The Allstate coverage is described as handling normal hardware breakdowns, not accidental damage.
Buyers who want a refurb that can arrive looking brand new with accessories, because units have arrived pristine and included the case and cables.
Frequent flyers wanting top-tier noise canceling, because the headphones sound incredible and the noise cancelling is the best heard.
People upgrading from older Bose headphones, because the XM6 sounds noticeably better or very close after EQ tuning.
Listeners who want a detailed, separated soundstage, because the audio is described as very well separated out of the box.
People worried about long-term hinge durability, because the band breaking problem spans multiple generations and is not covered.
Buyers who want a refurb that stays clean-looking with regular handling, because the finish can pick up visible dirt and marks quickly.
Listeners who need flawless Bluetooth playback on every device, because pairing to a Google TV Streamer can cause microstutters and brief cutouts.
People expecting a trouble-free right ear cup, because clipping or popping noise can develop within a week.
