I bought this unit, and it somewhat works. Has a number of files limitation, where it will not display my whole collection of MP3s, which is under 32GB. Maybe if you use FLAC or WAV, it would work well, as the number of files on 32GB would be less.
Also would not work on Bluetooth speakers that support TWS. It sends the signal as a Right channel muted.
I kept it because it is much easier to review new music just by adding songs to the SDXC card, rather than cabling an iPhone to a computer and opening iTunes to transfer the songs.
Some people just like having a separate device solely for music, seem to find it less distracting or something. Not me, personally, just I have heard it.
There's also a case to be made for those who don't want to impact the battery on their phone as well.
There are people who want to do everything on their phone and that's awesome. However, there are also people who prefer to break out activities into e-readers, digital audio players, etc. and that's awesome, too.
Do what works best for you.

This is a tiny Bluetooth MP3 player best suited for carrying a local music library without using a phone. It is handy for loading songs onto a microSD card, and the headphone cable can double as an FM antenna. The main appeal is simple offline listening, whether for exercise, a separate music device, or pairing with a speaker. The weak spots are the software and build, with reports of file limits, broken playlists, awkward Bluetooth behavior with TWS speakers, flimsy plastic, and EQ controls that do not work well.
The player can make it easier to review new music by adding songs directly to the SDXC card instead of cabling a phone to a computer.
The device can serve as a separate mini music station by pairing with a Bluetooth speaker for more distraction-free listening at gatherings.
The coupon and promo can make the 64GB version close in price to the 32GB option, improving storage value when the discount applies.
The lightweight design may help it survive minor drops, since it is very light and reportedly survived a 3-4 ft drop expectation.
The player can limit how many files it displays, so a full MP3 collection may not show even when total storage is under 32GB.
Bluetooth audio can have channel issues with TWS speakers, including right-channel muting during playback.
File management can be frustrating because filename length restrictions can cause software problems and playlists may not be supported or may get messed up.
The product description can be misleading because storage may be only the provided microSD card with no internal memory, requiring a card reader for transfers.

EDIT: using a microsd card reader to transfer files
I bought the original and returned it also I'm happy with the Yoton
See attached:
And, the preset EQs (Rock, Funk, etc) sucks.
So, I just leave EQ set to off.
