Okay for $20, but not worth $36. The metal pieces are very thin, so do not expect a heavy-duty grill. Do not leave it outside, and dry it immediately after washing to prevent rust from forming the next day. Warning: It needs an ash tray at the bottom, or it makes a huge mess. last, not easy to clean with the grease and ash on the side, metal brush can break the coating.

thanks for the review. has this ever gone down to $20 - would jump at that price but maybe not for $36. dont like that mesh grill surface.

i have this grill, but the gas one brand. paid $26 for it. i combine it with the skewer set recently sold by costco and was discounted to $10. it fits perfectly on the grill frame. they work really well together.

The grill grate and the thing that holds the charcoal start getting really filmsy and to the point where you'll struggle getting it in. This was a common complaint for a lot of reviewers. Basically starts to warp after a few uses. You can buy a separate grill grate, but the steel thing that holds the charcoal I don't know.

agree. My friend had 1, it worked okay, but it was flimsy and not easy to break down (luckily we were grilling in his yard). For charcoal grilling, the charcoal is doing all the work, the grill just needs to be sturdy enough where you're not burning down the surface your grill is on, and ideally some airflow to promote flame. You have to figure out how to clean a device that is meant to break back down to be flat. It's like a collapsible toilet, works until you need to collapse it once used. $10 disposable grills are probably a better tool for grilling away from home, and if you're at home just spend a bit more on a smokey joe or similar
