A good deal if any are available for you. 1TB storage alone is valuable, but the Ultra 7 256V is also a good well-rounded chip.

Question isn't 16gb of ram less these days ? If I were to buy a new laptop should I try to look for a 32GB RAM option? I keep my laptop for 7 to 8 years unless they decide to die . Also which laptops give the best battery life ? Appreciate your help.

16gb is plenty. 8gb is too little.

If you are hoping to keep your laptop 7-8 years, 16gb is too little.

Yes it depends greatly on what you are doing. My 8gb travel laptop struggles with 7 chrome tabs open. My 16gb struggles with 15 tabs open. It also depends on what tabs you have open. A simple web page with texts and a few pictures is different than Google maps with satellite view or a Google Sheets with 10 tabs.

Best Buy is a crapshoot. I ordered one in "excellent" condition yesterday. Went to pick it up today. Luckily, based on comments I have seen before, I opened the box in front of the cashier. The box contained a laptop and nothing else - not even a charger. I returned right away. Total waste of one hour of my life 😒
