Mine has an NVMe slot for expanding storage; I've never used it, and with SSD prices now I doubt I will XD. I do prefer that this model has a USB-C port on it, since so many devices and even thumb drives are USB-C now, also the front 3.5mm headphone jack is very convenient because I find the M1/2's rear headphone jack difficult to see and connect when the computer's all set up and wired in.
The listing says it's not compatible with the M4 mini... it's a wider hub that won't neatly fit under the M4 as a sleek stand, but while not ideal it's just a USB-C hub that should work functionally once you plug it in ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
