You expect that price why? $1000 new for a Ultra 9 Panther Lake with 32GB RAM and 3K 120Hz OLED and 1TB SSD in todays climate is comparable where?

Terrible time to buy laptops. With Memory/Storage and even CPU prices being higher, we are paying way more than what we did before. I am thankful I got my vivobook with similar screen 258V(lunar lake) with 32GB/1TB for 700 bucks.

It's the budget panther lake series with intel graphics, not the Arc integrated chips.

I realize that. Still, where is a comparable laptop to this brand new for $1000 and open box for $800? That was what was stated by the other person. I'd like to see these specs somewhere in a $1000 laptop...

Here's the current market for similar specs and these are nowhere close to $1000 (or even $1500):

I so agree, I'm trying to understand the same while I ordered one today.

There's nothing close to this in today's market and not everyone needs to setup local llm model in their laptop so dedicated nvidia or arc graphics isnt a must

The Acer Swift or the other one (forget the line) at 16" for $1,000 or the LG Gram 17" (prior gen) for $7-800 or the 16" version of this laptop with Ryzen and 24GB open box for $800 would be the best comparables I've seen recently. I realize they are all distinguishable, but still comparable. I believe the Zenbook 14" has also been available for $1,000 in recent weeks, maybe from Walmart, but I usually disregard 14" models.

Laptop prices are generally manipulated; if none of the better deals exist this week, wait until next week when they go on "sale" for the regular price. Even in current memory conditions, the sub $1k 32GB recent models have been available.

Here, this one's a much better deal. Lower res larger screen might be noticeable if you have exceptionally good eyes; I couldn't tell on my 15" whether I had it set to 2k or 4k unless I looked very closely. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/a...ku/6671804
