Tip: Boil your wooden spoons every few months to get them clean again.

This is false. Boiling will degrade the wood faster and strip it of its natural oils, which leads to easier warping and cracking. Better to use vinegar, soap and warm water.

Are these coated? I like to sand off any factory coating and use tung oil on wooden kitchen utensils (mostly handles)

Good price but they are made of beech. 👎
Invest in one good olive wood turner.

Yikes no. Don't ruin your wood utensils by boiling them. Just:
1) Buy better quality than these beechwood ones, like a single good olive wood turner
2) Wash with regular dish soap
3) Treat occasionally with mineral oil or board butter, like you would a cutting board

Solid wood is naturally antimicrobial. So long as you wash and dry it after use, and oil it occasionally to prevent cracking/splitting, it's a great material for cooking utensils. Nothing else comes close for deglazing the fond off the bottom of a skillet to make a pan sauce for the steak you just seared (for example).

Bamboo and beech like this won't last as long as something like olive or maple, but they'll still outperform steel or silicone—to say nothing of nylon—until they warp or crack.

A nylon brush is your friend. Better yet, a wraparound brush such as this one: https://a.co/d/091EvHMd (also quite good for washing knives safely)

This is the second worst method you could possibly choose for wooden cookware, but still better than cleaning them with a blowtorch.
