Get a reputable company who will support with replacement batteries.
Otherwise, don't get the DCK.
The 60v Toro is a great deal at $129 if I wasn't in the Ryobi 40v universe.

Literally no one is buying this chainsaw as a long-term, ecosystem investment. While possible, I find it extremely unlikely that two chainsaws and two batteries will crap out within a decade of casual, infrequent use.
Not everything needs to be a BIFL purchase. The better recommendation is to find a friend with a decent collection of nice tools and willingness to teach you to use them correctly in exchange for a sixer of beer and your good company.
