My use case for these expanding ones is to power my coffee cart for events. I can bring more or less expansion batteries depending on how long I need it to run.

For me, an expandable system seems more elegant when I'm wheeling it in for a client/event. Futhermore when I go charge it, the main unit handles the charging for all the expansion batteries. I don't need to do it separately like I would if I used just lifepo4 batteries.
Plugging in a 12v lifepo4 into the XT60 will only transfer about 100w into the power station because all of them limit you to 8 amps
The only power station that let you get 20 amps of your 12v battery is the Pecron E1000
There are very little left of these as most companies are excluding them.
Pecron and Oupes 1800w/1024wh power stations used to have expansion ports and they made updated versions that excluded them.
The only hesitant about this power station is the 50v solar port.
The manual does say 55v but I don't know if you can use a 48v battery into the port without damaging it.
48v battery actual voltage can go past 55v when full.
I already have tons of power stations but I'm gonna see if I can hack the expansion port.
I have a Pecron E1000 that is in the same category and I hacked it but It's ~$380 and heavier.
If I can't hack the expansion port, this can still be useful to carry around.
I'm pretty extreme but I still want to keep my warranty.
