That said, I've bought 3 of the thumb control before and each of them have failed/cracked within 1-2 years due to weather. Can't leave these outside season to season.
I thought it was a really good design but after time it goes to hell. You'll require two thumbs to operate it.

I actually hate the squeeze versions more because you have to keep squeezing, and the ones with a little tab sometimes get stuck and you end up having to free your other hand to try to stop the flow, more headache. Let's face it, non of these really last more than few years lately. I had one in my garage with a hose from goodyear attached that lasted 10 years, now in last 4 years I had to buy at least 4 different ones because they don't seem to survive, or start leaking etc..
I need it for very light duty use of rinsing down my small patio (in a condo) and use it to rinse off my small living rug after a wash. Probably won't do that often, so I'll just keep it in a outside shed for that rare use.
