Pirate's Booty aged white cheddar puffs are a light, crunchy snack that works well for portion control and travel. The 70 calorie bags are easy to pack, do not stick in teeth like popcorn, and fit a salty snack craving with less fat than chips like Cheetos. Kids also seem to love them. The main knocks are that the flavor can feel very mild, and the newer recipe or redesign has left some with a worse taste than before.
Parents packing road-trip snacks for kids, because the puffs are easy to stock up on and travel well.
People trying to keep lunch portions small, because each bag is only 70 calories.
Snackers who want a crunchy, salty bite without teeth-sticking popcorn, because these stay out of your teeth.
People choosing a lighter-feeling snack, because it delivers crunch with less fat than Cheetos.
Buyers expecting the original recipe, because the new version can taste nothing like before and come across as disgusting.
Snackers who want a strong cheese flavor, because the puffs can taste very lightly flavored and leave you unsatisfied.
