Weber griddles are the least "rust resistant" appliance I have ever owned.
You've owned this model specifically? With the carbon-steel griddle?

EDIT: Maybe I should learn how to read. This is a Weber, not a blackstone griddle like I assumed. Webers kick ass.

From what I understand no, it's not. Think Weber Spirit vs Genesis. But it shares the griddle with the slate, which, imo, is the most important part of a griddle-type grill.

I have had this griddle for the last 2 years.. having had cheaper versions of the Blackstone, and experimented with all sorts of brands, I have to say that this is right there at the top.. First off, very solid build quality.. the side tables don't fold down or detach(without removing hardware).. but you can pick up/move the griddle using them, no flex or give whatsoever. Secondly, the hood.. very solid, sturdy.. the hinge mechanism could be a little stronger, but it feels worthy regardless. The design is clean and simple.. the cooking surface is slightly recessed to help with windy conditions.. Igniters built into each each burner knob.. which, seems like a nice feature, and potentially problematic at the same time (as far as longevity)..It just feels like a sturdy, well-built machine. I've kept this on my front porch year round in southwest Virginia.. it's seen below freezing temps and plenty of humidity.. I keep a cover on it from Amazon between uses, and a silicone cover on the cooking surface (kind of a pain).. not the first hint of rust. You can find a Blackstone with a nice hood at a slightly lower price point, but I think this is the better choice, hands down. This is NOT the slate top version.. I personally believe that's a gimmick, and wouldn't waste extra money for that "feature". I purchased mine from Ace Hardware, around this same price point. Solid find OP, thanks for sharing.. hope this helps ✌🏽
