The TempSpike Plus version (here) has more range, BT 5.2, a thinner probe, and longer battery life.
FWIW, it did work and the app is pretty good with notifications.
.I'd you can get within a 14f° range of the actual temp, you should play lottery because your luck is peaking.
I have soooo many of the ThermoPro items, and they all just don't last. Or, they get a bit off and can't be calibrated.
The closest one to being decent is the TP25 I bought years back. But you'll need to buy a ton or the replacement leads because they do not last. After a month of use, you'll get 4 different temps in ice water.
The worst part is their Bluetooth connections.
I will say one positive ...
Their apps are great and super simple.
But this tempspike... they're absolute garbage. Great idea, bad execution. I just don't think the teck is there quite yet.
