I used a bj gift card to pay...so, it'll be empty once used up.
Even areas surrounded by multi million dollar homes.
Gas and propane prices, booze, and most meat is the reason.
Commodity items are similar prices to costco.
Lots of packages are smaller than Costco, so better for smaller households.
Throw in Coupons with double dipping and additional $$ off make it worthwhile.
Which just kills Costco.
We belong to both for over 20+ years.
Always CB level membership and we come out way ahead... Even with minimal purchases.

Costco might as well not even bother with a website.
Costco still in testing phase of scan and go, BJ's has had it since pandemic, no standing in line (Per Transaction Limit: Less than $1,500 and up to 60 items).
For all members, and depending on location BJ's open's at 8AM AM or 9AM close Mon-Sat 10PM & Sun 9PM
Costco has the weakest shopping hours and you pay extra to get in at 9AM, closes Mon-Fri at 9:30PM Sat opens 9:30AM Sun 10AM and on both weekend days closes at the ridiculous time of 6PM.
Costco acts like they doing you a favor with their hours.
