Amazon [amazon.com] has this for $204 with free shipping: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BFVFMS9

Home Depot [homedepot.com] also has this for $204 with free shipping: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Hakko.../305626835

Edit: This is the lowest legit price I'm aware of. Thanks to the mods for updating the Home Depot URL and adding the links. I was at work on mobile and couldn't figure out the editing.

I know this is a pretty niche piece of equipment, but I jumped on it at this price and wanted to share for anyone else who's been waiting for a deal like I have Wink

These are excellent units.

Sometimes if there is a really big ground plane, you need to use the Hakko and another soldering iron on the other side of the board to get enough heat.

The last example of that was replacing the square DC power connector on a Lenovo gamer laptop - that thing sucked up all the heat you could give it.

I bought one of these a couple of years ago for almost $300 and that was a great price then. I build mechanical keyboards as a hobby and this makes desoldering a board to install new switches a breeze. I can see why most people wouldn't need a tool like this. However, the amount of time I save desoldering with this vs a traditional solder sucker is enormous. Full size boards can have over 200 soldering joints so what was an hour job becomes 10 minutes. Also, the process is safer, cleaner, and has a better result. This is the all-time lowest price for a well built name brand tool.
