DoorDash is pairing this digital game promo with a DoorDash gift card, but the strongest takeaway is the eligibility confusion around which titles qualify. The terms point to a single digital game at $49.99 or more, while gift cards and in game currency are excluded, and some product pages show the tag while others do not. Gift card delivery has landed in a few days for some purchases, though delays and support follow up have also come up. A workable deal if the listed game and tag line up.

Common Questions (5)

  • Some $49.99 titles show the gift-card tag, but Splatoon Raiders has repeatedly appeared without it. Star Fox, Onimusha, and Elden Ring have shown the tag, so eligibility seems title-specific rather than automatic at $49.99.

    JrChopViciousMothwolve3s9000

  • Delivery has ranged from about 2 days to a little over a week, and one report says support mentioned up to a 3-business-day delay. If it does not arrive, contacting DoorDash support has reportedly resolved it.

    ThelementSplendidDolphin6215adf5142

  • The promo display has been inconsistent, with tags disappearing and reappearing and some pages showing mismatched gift-card amounts or dates. Screenshots of the product tag and terms may help if support needs to verify the offer later.

    Colsanders420JrChops9000

  • It requires a single digital game priced at $49.99 or higher, not multiple items combined to reach $50. Gift cards and in-game currency are excluded, so the safest qualifying purchases are one eligible game at the listed threshold.

    NawledgeWittyCreature4386

  • Yes, it can be paired with the Sam's Club DoorDash gift card deal that sells $100 for $79.99. That makes the game promo more useful if you already plan to load up on DoorDash credit.

lol the alert I got, then this description, then this title - all different. Lots of mixed messages. Is it over before it started? Is it $25/$10/$5?

I bought it last week when it was $25 promo and it just says they will send the code in a few days.

But also when I bought it, there were parts of the app that said $25 and $15. I have no idea if it will even award.

I'm looking at the terms right now and it specifically states that you get either the $5 or $15 when you purchase a digital game for $50 or more. Keyword game not games so I don't think you can add multiple items to get to that $50 mark but games that are at $49.99 and up work.

Edit: Gift cards and in game currency aren't eligible either OP so you might want to remove that.

The problem is that I have not received the $25.00 GC on the purchase last month. Has anyone already received?

On my side, I didn't see the "free gift card" tag that others saw during the last version of the sale, but I do see it this time, and even on $49.99 games like star fox.

I do notice that splatoon raiders has now been added, though I'm not seeing the "free gift card" tag on it yet. Last time, the terms were similar in saying $50 minimum and people still getting the gift card on Star Fox. It's still only a chance for splatoon raiders at $49.99 but precedent shows it might be okay.

I also noticed they fixed the flipped yoshi cover photos from last time.

A bit inconsistent. StarFox at $49.99 shows the $15 gift card on the product page, but splatoon raiders at $49.99 does not.

I did the $25 deal with star fox and got both game instantly and card within 2 days. I am interested in doing the $15 deal but am holding out to see if more games are added.

Okay, so it might take a week or so. I will wait then. I bought it on 8/31.

Mine says "purchase a digital game for $50 or more," so it has to be a single $50+ game rather than "spend $50 on games". I think spending $50 on a single digital game isn't worth it when physical Nintendo cartridges cost the exact same amount but actually hold high resale value.

They finally added Splatoon Raiders, but it's not even eligible for the $15 gc.

Actually Nintendo changed their pricing earlier this year such that digital games are $10 less then physical.
