The CPU is a dog.

Apologies to all my canine friends for the slur.

It's not slow at all. passmark ~4k. multi-20k. I'm not a huge fan of LG Gram toughness, but my dad has had one for several years and it's been just fine, so if you can get this for 1200, it's a decent deal.

It's not slow at all. Other guy just doesn't know what he's talking about, or he thinks anything not a threadripper is slow.

CPU benchmark is 20251 [cpubenchmark.net]. That's a low number to see on a laptop costing $1200. Spend your money how you please but me and my dad will be skipping this one.

How much do you dislike battery life?

That's a different argument. However, it's nice to have a choice, especially when not running on the battery.

The 355 is one of the top CPUs available today. Perhaps the dissenter is referring to how LG significantly restricts the CPU with strict power limits (PL1 and PL2) and aggressive thermal throttling so that the CPU never realizes its full potential.

However, the limiters can be removed with some tweaking. This is an excellent laptop with one of the top CPUs out there <$1500.
