Note: And you probably wouldn't; but for my own use then I would sand the shape of the head-stock point, and refinish that head-stock. With my own label if any.
I would need to know the exact weight of the unit I'm buying as I like 'em light. Ash great, when light. That's what swap ash tends to be, light. But you have to weight them. Best tone; but "tone wood" does not matter in an electric IMHO. Except for weight and durability. The hardest woods are of course harder to dent; but still do, and are far to heavy IMHO.
Be extra careful, on any wood, not to strip out wooden screw holes; but that is super easy to fix.
