You can call the number and tell them you want to cancel; let them know about the the $3 deal and if they say no, tell them you want to cancel anway - they'll put you on hold and should you be able to hook you up or keep you at your current rate.

I finally spoke with a human on the phone. She asked if I got the invite through the mail or email from Sirius. Upon mentioning I found the deal online and wanted to lock in the $3 a month deal, she said I was not qualified and offered me a $6 a month for 12 months plan. I declined.

Today, September 3, 2026, I called SiriusXM about this offer and was informed that it is only valid for 2018 and older vehicles. Despite my willingness to cancel my existing subscription, the retention specialist repeatedly refused to honor the promotion.

In June 2026. I subscribed to the Music & Entertainment package for $5.00 a month for one year because I was unable to secure another three‑year offer. After submitting a negative survey response, I received a call from SiriusXM requesting clarification. I explained that my rating reflected the company's unwillingness to provide a three‑year deal. In exchange for removing the negative review, I was offered the same plan for $2.99 per month for one year, which I gladly accepted.

The inconsistency between these two interactions raises serious concerns about the fairness and transparency of SiriusXM's promotional and retention practices. Customers should not have to resort to negative feedback or cancellation threats to receive reasonable offers, nor should promotions be selectively applied without clear and consistent criteria, especially given my long‑standing subscription history.

Wasn't able to get $3 because they said it's targeted, but I used it as leverage and got $4.98 a month. Meanwhile I called 2 weeks ago and they wouldn't go lower than $25.

Tried this on my 2024 XC90 but had no luck. As others have encountered in this thread, they kept telling me that it's only for older cars. But I did get the $3.99/month for 12 months offer instead so at least that's something.

I've had Sirius for $25/year for probably more than a decade through about 2-3yrs ago. You simply just call and tell them you want to cancel and remain persistent with your cancellation request until 10 offers later they offer you $25/year. So it's not like this is a one-time opportunity deal 😂

Tried the online chat with a real agent and asked to cancel but mentioned the $3 promo and was able to get it on a pre-2018 vehicle.

This is the plan I have. My car is older than 2018 but that was not in my promo when I first got the three year plan in 2022. I renewed last year for a cheaper price then 2022 for another three years.

Good deal if you can get it.
I currently have 2 cars w/SiriusXM, paying $6.06/month each (includes taxes & fees, so $12.12 total for both cars per month). It's due to renew at a much higher rate at the end of the month.

I chatted online and got the same response about the $2.99 offer only being available for specific vehicles from 2018 and earlier, and only if they received the offer via mail/email. The best they would do is offer my same rate for 1 additional year... I decided to cancel the automatic renewal, so my service will end... Maybe they'll reach out with a better offer (not going to hold my breath though)

Vehicle has to be over 10 years old and you will get the promo. Ask me how I know? I have 2 subscriptions that I recently renewed and told them about the 2.99 offer of which they approved for my 2013 vehicle but not my 2023 beat they would do for 2023 was 5.99 so all in I'm at 4.50 per vehicle a month and I'm ok with that plus streaming!

If you call as a current subscriber be sure to have them cancel then apply promo code. It works if you can convince the rep to apply promo code but it is if they want to try.

I have tried to get this promotion several times for my 2005 Acura RL through the link, and it always fails, but they point me to a $2 or even $1 for 3 months. It doesn't make any sense for either of us, but I guess they can not figure that out.

No commercials and you can use the App, connect it either via AUX or Bluetooth
