This CyberPowerPC build is a strong gaming value on paper, pairing a Ryzen 9 9900X and RX 9070 with fast memory and storage in some configurations. The standout upside is the performance per dollar, with reports of CL28 RAM and even a PCIe 5.0 SSD showing up unexpectedly. The main concern is the base 16GB of DDR5 and 1TB SSD, which may feel tight for heavier games, large multiplayer maps, or a primary gaming PC. Build quality and support concerns also surface, along with reports that the extra discount disappeared when stock changed, making it a better fit if the configuration and price still line up.

Common Questions (4)

  • 16GB is enough for mainstream and competitive gaming, but heavier AAA, modded, or large-server games can benefit from 32GB. The practical concern is headroom: some users report frame-rate drops or the need to upgrade sooner if this is a primary gaming PC.

  • If this is your main gaming PC, both upgrades may be worth planning for because 1TB fills quickly and 16GB can become limiting in demanding games. The configurator offers 32GB RAM for $180 more, which is the simplest way to add headroom up front.

  • Build quality concerns include missing fans, poor wiring, and cheap parts, and some systems reportedly failed around the 1-year mark. Customer service has also been described as unhelpful after those failures.

  • The deal can go dead if a configured part goes out of stock, which removes the extra $150 discount. Check the current configuration before buying because the listed price may no longer apply.

You're taking a big risk with CyberPowerPC
Bought every computer I've gotten from them over the last 20 years, 2 laptops, 3 desktops. None of them failed me. What risk is there with Cyberpowerpc that isn't there with any other brand?

Just from a deals perspective, this is a good deal for these specs in today's market. For only 16gb DDR5 ram and 1TB SSD, if you're going to use this as your primary gaming PC, it will need a RAM and SSD upgrade before too long. Many games are relatively unplayable at 16GB RAM. I also don't personally recommend buying a CyberPower after my own experience.

"Many games are relatively unplayable at 16GB RAM."

Got any proof of this?

This article pretty much states the opposite of what that other user said, which is why I was asking if he had proof of that ridiculous statement that many games are unplayable with 16gb.

"So although 32GB may become standard in 2026 or beyond for ultra settings, 16GB will remain sufficient for the majority of mainstream and competitive gaming for the foreseeable future."

Check CyberPowerPC reviews. I would not purchase another CyberPowerPC again. I purchased directly from from CyberPower. The build quality was not great missing extra fans ordered and poor wiring. It eventually died at 1 year exactly. Customer service was horrible and offered no help.

They have more than exceeded my expectations. My RAM was CL28 and I got a PCIe 5.0 SSD, unexpectedly. Bad experiences get amplified. The other 98% are too busy enjoying their new system to write about a good experience.

I also have my PC for years, and happy. I would buy from them again, no hesitation.

Same here. My last 3 desktops have been custom cyberpowerpc builds. No issues.

I went crazy on the configurator and ended up at 3100... My 7900xtx is dying a year outside of warranty and I am sad.
