This CyberPowerPC build is a strong gaming value on paper, pairing a Ryzen 9 9900X and RX 9070 with fast memory and storage in some configurations. The standout upside is the performance per dollar, with reports of CL28 RAM and even a PCIe 5.0 SSD showing up unexpectedly. The main concern is the base 16GB of DDR5 and 1TB SSD, which may feel tight for heavier games, large multiplayer maps, or a primary gaming PC. Build quality and support concerns also surface, along with reports that the extra discount disappeared when stock changed, making it a better fit if the configuration and price still line up.

  • The configuration can still be a strong value for the listed Ryzen 9 and RX 9070 specs in the current market.

  • The RAM can run at CL28 and the SSD can be a PCIe 5.0 drive instead of what was expected.

  • The configurator can let buyers upgrade to 32GB RAM for an additional $180.

  • The 16GB DDR5 and 1TB SSD setup can require a RAM and SSD upgrade soon for primary gaming use.

  • The 16GB RAM configuration can lead to frequent frame-rate drops in heavier multiplayer and large-map games.

  • Build quality issues can include missing extra fans, poor wiring, and a system that can die at about one year.

  • The deal can fail to apply because the configuration can go out of stock, removing the extra $150 discount.

Deal is dead, as this configuration had a part that went out of stock so the extra $150 discount no longer applies.

The RAM included was a known poor brand, and I could never get it to run at the advertised speed. It died after about 1.5 years of use, got RAM on my own and it worked way better at that point, but that was when you could get 32GB of RAM for $60... You can say "they can add RAM later" to this build too, but once you hit $1700 there's builds with 32GB of RAM and a 9070XT, so back to my original point that this is not a slick deal.

My PC ran well enough until the MOBO decided to die after about 1.5 more years of use. CPU would overheat repeatedly and I had to adjust multiple fan settings in order to make it even somewhat useable. I don't recommend getting a PC from a company who's just building with the absolute cheapest parts they can find and hooking them together.

"Many games are relatively unplayable at 16GB RAM."

Got any proof of this?
Do you actually play video games? Try running a game like Tarkov, DayZ, Arma 3, Rust in a large server/crowded map. 16GB of RAM may not result in a crash, but you are not going to have a fun time with the constant frame rate drops. 32GB of RAM is the minimum headroom if someone wants flexibility in what games they play. I don't think this computer is cheap enough to justify the 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD. Multiple deals recently have been $2000 with 2GB SSD, 32 GB RAM, and better CPU/GPU. I would not personally buy a PC in this specs range, either go cheaper or go more.

Lol so that small niche of specific multi-player games qualifies as "many games"? 🙄

Those are all extremely popular games... Why even buy a PC if you're only going to play COD and Madden? Might as well get a Ps5 for $600... If I'm buying a PC I want to be able to play games that make there be a reason to get the PC.

That's all fine and dandy but less than 0.01% of PC games being unplayable with 16gb RAM hardly qualifies as "many games". Your claim is just blatantly misleading and wrong.
