In theory this is true but in reality water flossers are more consistent than regular flossing. Just like brushing, people all don't floss properly or are not thorough enough. If the gap between your teeth is big enough, going through it once is not enough, sometimes even twice is not enough. After regular flossing, sometimes I go through a second time and I have noticed that I missed getting everything out the first time around. Then when I started using water flosser, I noticed running through with regular floss, I have never missed anything with the water flosser. Now I water floss then floss then brush. My dentist has noticed a difference. Not everyone is going to see a difference but if you have gum disease despite daily brushing and gum flossing, you might want to add this.
True. My first one died at around 18 months. But for 1/5 of the price, I will try this brand again. However, my second one I got a proprietary usb charging port instead of usb-c (my first one).
