This looks like a larger version of their 50 and 55 inch 4K 144Hz FreeSync Premium TVs sold for 220 - 250 bucks . I would not recommend this for gaming. I've purchased one of the 55 inch 6 months ago for my mom in law, and had nothing but problems connecting my gaming PC to it. HDMI 1 is e-ARC but cannot do 4K 144Hz. HDMI ports 2 and 3 can do 4K 144Hz but it's very glitchy and erratic, you get stutters and visual artifacts (pink fuzzy visual glitches) either entire screen or the bottom half of the screen. Which requires turning off the TV and trying it again. It's literally luck of the draw type of thing. I never know if I'll be able to use the TV with my PC. I have zero issues with my Hisense 4K 120Hz TV with the exact same gaming PC and same HDMI 8K cable.

Most people just care about size and the immersive aspect of 100". They're not looking at nits, refresh rate, contrast ratios etc....

$998 is crazy to have a mini theater screen in your room without the projector and dark room requirement and with a decent entry level picture for 2026. Steve goes from just "Steve" to "Steve, the guy with the huge .... tv"

This looks like a larger version of their 50 and 55 inch 4K 144Hz FreeSync Premium TVs sold for 220 - 250 bucks . I would not recommend this for gaming. I've purchased one of the 55 inch 6 months ago for my mom in law, and had nothing but problems connecting my gaming PC to it. HDMI 1 is e-ARC but cannot do 4K 144Hz. HDMI ports 2 and 3 can do 4K 144Hz but it's very glitchy and erratic, you get stutters and visual artifacts (pink fuzzy visual glitches) either entire screen or the bottom half of the screen. Which requires turning off the TV and trying it again. It's literally luck of the draw type of thing. I never know if I'll be able to use the TV with my PC. just got the 50 inch version today and kind of impressed. interestingly, i have my 5070 ti gaming pc connected to hdmi port 3 and was able to get 4k 144hz working with vrr fine. google tv sucks and the os is a little slow. though, i need to remind myself that this is a cheap tv. other than that it's not bad at all, better then my 6 year old tcl 4k 43 inch that i also got a walmart. i think it was overall worth the gamble. considering walmart is just 4 miles from my house and i have walmart+ if i ever need to return it within 30 days.

Most people just care about size and the immersive aspect of 100". They're not looking at nits, refresh rate, contrast ratios etc....

Yeah if they can break the manufacturing monopoly and simultaneously figure out how to make oled panels cheaper ... In the mean time I like that new rgb panels which are much cheaper (eventually) will give oled a real run for its money and surpass oled in certain areas like color accuracy etc. But I agree - oled tech is not getting cheaper until you wait for models to fade out.

I have the 43" 144hz 4k philips tv. It's not the best, but there is a lot of value there. It also has Google TV, but one of the places tv manufacturers cut corners is the tv processor. It can only emulate up to N64, but I just treat it like a dumb TV now. I did have issue with it blinking every few seconds. I think it was electronic interference because my Xbox series X was pressed right up to the back of the tv. I moved the Xbox, and it seems fine now. I don't know how bright this 100" TV is, but the price is right as long as the picture is somewhat okay. 100" is what I would expect out of a projector!

Agreed. I have a 77" OLED in my home theater. I wouldn't replace it with this. But if I were starting from scratch, I'd consider it. I'm sure the picture quality isn't as good, no maximum nit HDR or inky blacks, but as long as it's decent, the shock and awe of a huge screen makes a bigger impact. Makes you feel like a kid at the theater. And the money saved could go towards the sound system.

sams club had a vizio 100" for $1000 recently that looked really good tbh. if i had room I would have pulled the the trigger even tho I have an lg 83" oled

Lol I've been using the same tv with my gaming PC since March. No hdr but works great and looks great. Steal for sub $200.
