1. Sleeve Bearing Fan: Instead of using higher-end Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fans that are standard in Tier-A units, it uses a 120mm sleeve-bearing fan (Hong Hua D12SH-12). Sleeve bearings tend to wear out faster and get noisier over extended use.
2. Mixed Capacitors: It advertises a Japanese 105C main bulk capacitor, but secondary/filtering capacitors on the board rely on lower-tier Taiwanese or Chinese brands rather than 100% top-tier Japanese capacitors across the board.
3. Value-Focused OEM Platform: Huntkey builds this power supply on a budget-conscious half-bridge LLC layout. While stable, it doesn't match the ultra-low ripple or tight voltage regulation of high-end platforms built by OEM giants like Seasonic, CWT, or Super Flower.
Edit: Looks like the individual cables are jacketed and they expect you to use combs instead of sleeves.
2. Because they are a main supplier of different components - motherboards, psus, GPUs, etc.
3. Because, for the most part, their products are well made and tend to last a long time.
Just my experience, but I have a number of PC component parts made by MSI, and never had
trouble with any of them. The oldest one, a Z87 motherboard from a computer I built in 2015 is still
running like the day I installed it.
