Just buy bird seed. It's cheaper and they are going to eat this anyway.

So you got 105%??

I've had good results with mixing straight seed with the EZ Seed fescue (I'm in the northeast).

Lowes also has the 10lb bags on sale for half off, that's the much better deal.

I use it for patching all the time and have never had a problem.

Not sure if this is the same as the larger bag in Costco, but less than 10% of this is actual seed and most of it is inert (mulch).

The mulch and fertilizer blend are what make it work as well as it does, but yeah, it's really only for patching, not over-seeding.

I bought some last year to patch a few spots and had great/quick results. Layered in some additional seed after the first few days to really fill it out and now I can't really tell that area was ever just a big mud pit.

Bought this late spring for some patchwork. Seeds did not germinate. Garbage. Better off buying a bag of basic grass seeds.
