Community Reviews

This budget retainer cleaner is mainly valued for basic ultrasonic cleaning at a very low price, with foil tests and picture reviews suggesting it does produce cavitation rather than just vibration. It also gets credit for handling jewelry and small items at home, and the purple light can run separately from the cleaning cycle. The main concerns are uneven performance, possible dead spots, and a flimsy build that may not last long. It also lacks a spacer or basket, so careful placement matters, especially with metal items and jewelry stones.

  • The aluminum foil test can help verify whether the unit produces consistent cavitation across the tank.

  • The working fluid surrounding the object can improve cleaning results during ultrasonic operation.

  • The purple light can run independently from the ultrasonic cycle for separate use.

  • A ziplock bag setup can make jewelry easier to inspect after ultrasonic cleaning.

  • The device may not be truly ultrasonic and could instead be only vibrating, depending on the internal mechanism.

  • The unit may use a plastic basket or no basket, which can reduce effective ultrasonic energy for metallic items.

  • The ultrasonic performance may be mediocre, with photos suggesting patchy cavitation coverage or dead spots.

  • Ultrasonic cleaning can loosen stones, and diamond earrings may lose stones after cleaning.

What exactly is the point of this comment?

Everyone has access to AI.

Actual critical thinking is what people go to the comments for.
I disagree. On Internet forums, you get a lot of uneducated opinions stated as fact. And people want to be spoon-fed information they can easily get off a Google search AI themselves or even just looking at the product listing. Someone taking the time to grab that info and repost it here is better than most.

Warning about cleaning jewelry with these. I've always heard that they can loosen the stones and I completely disregarded that advice. I've always cleaned my diamond earrings in mine without thinking much about it although I kind of knew better. I took out my earrings last week and one of the diamonds had fallen out of the setting. Sure, it may have happened without the ultrasonic but I do think the ultrasonic cleaner directly contributed.
Put your jewelry in a small ziplock bag with water inside, and then put that into the ultrasonic bath. Easier afterwards to inspect for any small diamonds that came off due to the ultrasonic vibrations.

How do you know?
you are the type of customer they make this for. Someone that will buy and defend their snake oil because it is cheap and "how do you know?" "It says it does it" and "it's just a few dollars." Perhaps you have also heard that there is a sucker born every minute, a fool and his money are soon parted, and let the buyer beware. The mentality of these Chinese companies is that if you get tricked it is your fault for being duped.

You're classic Internet forums. Making a blanket statement with no basis in fact, and will waste a paragraph belittling someone else than admit the obvious that you have no experience whatsoever with this product to make your claim.

It is your money. Spend it all you want. You can say it's belittling all you want, but when it doesn't get your stuff clean, tears up quickly, or what have you, I hope my comment echoes in your head.

This is strictly about you claiming that "This isn't ultrasonic, it's just vibrating." You can go on as many tangents as you want, but fact is you made a statement with no experience with this item to say one way or another. And based on the aluminum foil test, you were wrong.
