Community Reviews
This Energy Take Classic 5.1 package is an entry level home theater setup that stands out for compact speakers with surprisingly full, immersive sound. The aluminum tweeters give it a brighter presentation, and the glossy finish looks good while keeping the system less visually intrusive than big floor speakers. It works best in smaller rooms at moderate or low volume, and it needs a receiver, careful speaker placement, wiring, and calibration. The subwoofer may feel underpowered, but the overall package is a strong value at $179.
The compact yet heavy satellites can produce immersive 5.1 sound without dominating the room visually.
The system can keep performing well for years, including long-term ownership experiences.
The aluminum tweeters can deliver a brighter sound that many listeners enjoy.
The entry-level setup can work effectively in a small-room gaming configuration when paired with a receiver.
The glossy finish can look great, but the system is still positioned as entry-level rather than a premium upgrade.
The subwoofer may feel underpowered compared with the rest of the entry-level system.
The system requires a receiver, proper speaker placement, speaker wiring, and calibration for best integration.
The $179 package may be less satisfying if a more visceral, sub-driven experience is the main goal.

OTOH, if you just want something that sounds much better than the TV speakers, and provides much better spatial effects than soundbars claiming to have "simulated" surround sound, and a more decent sub than the crappy plastic pseudo-subs that soundbar/Sonos/Bose systems come with, this $179 Energy package will do---especially in a smaller room and if you only listen at moderate or low levels.
