Dawn Ultra Original is valued as a strong degreaser for greasy dishes and even bike chains, with the refill jug format making it easy to stock up. The price lands close to common trigger points around $0.10 per ounce, but Costco, BJ's, and Sam's Club are cited as cheaper alternatives on a per ounce basis. The jug size has also dropped from 56 ounces to 51.5 ounces, and the formula is described as more watered down than before. Dawn Platinum is repeatedly framed as the stronger option, so this deal mainly appeals if you want the original refill size.
The dish soap can degrease and clean a bike chain effectively.
The deal can be close to a typical trigger unit price around $0.10 per ounce.
The refill pricing can compare favorably against BJ's and may reduce per-ounce cost with Subscribe & Save.
The soap can be used as a practical alternative to Costco or club options when comparing per-ounce pricing.
The Dawn Ultra refill size reportedly changed from 56 oz to 51.5 oz, which can affect value.
The formula reportedly feels watered down after packaging or formulation changes.
Amazon cancellation issues reportedly forced returns of multiple Dawn Ultra jugs.
Dawn Platinum is described as a stronger alternative, making this Ultra deal potentially less worthwhile.
