I have not played the fgx830c but there are slight differences in wood which can have effect on sound which will largely be up to preferences which one you consider better. The main difference and what makes the FSC-TA and all of Yamaha's transacoustic line truly unique is the effects are built into the guitar so without even being plugged in you can add chorus and reverb for the first generation and the later models added delay and looper

I bought this guitar on September 9th and still have not received it. I wonder if it was a pricing error? It says they have 1 in stock for $779 currently on Amazon. Same price of $779 as on the third party store front. Seems like a legit company with a brick and motar storefront in UT. Too good to be true I guess. So much for slick. It seems to me most thinks on slick deals aren't very slick, IMO.

sweetwater has it in Ruby Red right now for $579.
