This landscaping glue is mainly used to lock down mulch and rock, especially on walkways, pea gravel, and windy spots, and it can make stone colors pop with a wet look. It seems to bond best on sharp edged rock and lighter applications, while round stones, heavy foot traffic, and rainy weather can weaken it or wash it down over time. It does not kill existing weeds by itself, so beds need prep first. The promo code still works, though the Amazon app may require tapping the arrow to apply it.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes, it can bond pea gravel fairly well and also makes stone colors pop with a wet look. Larger or rounder stones are harder to hold, especially if they are loosely packed or exposed to rain and traffic.

  • It can work on rocks and mulch, but rain can weaken it and reactivation may let stones scatter again. For walkway or high-traffic use, it may last only a week or two in wet conditions, while sharp-edged rocks hold better than round stones.

  • It is not permanent and can break down over time, with some users expecting reapplication after about a year or two. In wetter conditions it may fail much sooner, while dry areas and properly packed sharp rock can extend the hold.

  • The code still works, but in the Amazon app you may need to tap the arrow in the promo code box before pressing Continue. If the code appears not to work, that extra step is the fix mentioned in the thread.

  • It does not kill existing weeds by itself. The practical approach is to remove or kill weeds first, then apply thick enough mulch or rock; the glue can help suppress new growth, but it wears off over time and may need reapplication.

Some cities give away free mulch. Check surrounding cities.

BMZYV0DG still seems to work. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button).

In our area the tree-cutting companies will drop about 2 yards on your driveway if you ask them to. To them it is just waste, and if they can dump it and not haul it everyone wins.

If I put the 2-3 layers that on rocks that it shows in the pictures will this also help prevent weeds and grass popping up from underneath the rocks? If not and you use this, is this safe to apply weed and grass killer later to kill any that may come up?

Yes I, too, am very much interested in whether this kind of has a secondary effect of reducing weeds that manage to grow up through landscaping rocks and/or mulch

I have used this in my rubber mulch and rock. Rubber mulch no weed issues. Rock, it will depend o the size of rock and how tightly packed you get it, along with how much of this you apply. In an area with pea size rock, no weeds. Bigger inch minus size rock a couple weeds, but much bigger spacing. Yes you can spray with weed killer and no ill effects.

Does this stuff have an expiration date or go bad if sitting in the container for extended periods of time?

Reason I'm asking is because we're through most of the weed and grass growing season this year and have pulled everything up in our rocks, but this would be nice to apply next year in Spring and see what the results are for holding everything in place and also for keeping weeds and grass back some.
