if I had a traditional dryer set up I would definitely get this...except I have in inline screen filter so the metal flex hose comes out of the dryer up the wall into this box and then across where another metal flex hose connects to the other side of the box and down do the outlet in the wall.

People mentioned they like this product so they can easily clean their ducts. Well I don't have to clean my ducts really because I have this inline filter. The reason I did this was because my vent exhausts onto the first floor roof and it would used to get lint all over the rood and not look great. But also the lint would gum up the flaps so the flaps wouldn't move properly or stick open and I don't insects or rodents or birds getting in there. I have had my filter for a few years and the roof is still clean and the vent flaps still work properly
