Had this.

The motor burned out in just over 2 years with light use. It just stared smoking non stop. Also, to be known - A total PITA to reload compared to other string trimmers.

All in all, if you have extra batteries, at 50 bucks, it may make sense to buy.

Looks like Toro is leaving Lowe's. Could be hard to get batteries later on.

These can be reloaded by either taking apart the head and winding it, or feed in the string without taking it apart and then turn the inner head counterclockwise to wrap the string. It's really easy to load.

The toro battery powered lineup is leaving the next reset for power equipment at Lowe's for next season (won't be in stores) and is very heavily discounted now. Writing is on the wall for Lowe's. Don't know if Toro is discontinuing manufacturing and going to another platform or not. Echo did the same thing a few years ago in Home Depot. Pulled the lineup and came back a couple years later with a different platform

Not true, they signed a multi year deal in 2024 with Toro. Manager said its just September clearance and Toro will be there again with new and updated products
