Ryobi's 18V ONE plus powered brush hand vacuum is a compact cleanup tool best suited to small debris, tight spaces, and quick household touchups. The powered brush gets praise for picking up cat litter and other small bits, and it works well on hardwood corners, stairs, baseboards, and window sills. It is less convincing for car carpets, trunk cleanup, and heavier debris, and the included crevice and brush attachments draw criticism. Battery ownership also matters, since the tool-only price makes more sense inside the ONE plus system.
The powered brush can pick up small items like cat litter more effectively than other hand vacs.
The vacuum can handle small debris on rubber floor mats and hardwood corners or stairs.
The vacuum can be useful for quick car cleanups and small jobs when the mess is light.
The vacuum can work well for baseboards and window sills when paired with a compact battery shop-vac setup.
The vacuum's suction can be too weak for carpet floor cleaning and car carpet mats.
The crevice tool can be limited, which can make it harder to clean the trunk thoroughly.
The vacuum can fail to pick up small debris and can have tool heads that do not work.
The deal may be less attractive if the battery and charger are not included with the factory-blemished model.
