This is a good deal because it includes the rubber seal ($6) and the power cord if you have a plug under your sink ($18). Those are normally separate. And this has stainless steel parts.
Just did a bunch of research in replacing my old insinkerator badger series. Even though it lasted 10 years I was disappointed to learn that a lot of insinkerator have galvanized steal grinding parts. That's why if you look in there and see a bunch of rust that's what happens when your whole disposal starts leaking. So I upgraded to an insinkerator model that has stainless steel parts. If you're replacing another insinkerator you likely don't have to even remove the mount under the sink. But I wanted to since I figure the seal was also probably worn away being 10 years old. Plus then everything is nice and new and clean. But since I was replacing an existing one I didn't have to rearrange the plumbing at all. Just had to loosen the joints to get the pipes to fit.
If you're attaching a dishwasher DONT FORGET TO REMOVE THE PLUG!!! Unless you want a flooded kitchen.
