This El Pollo Loco offer is mainly about getting a fire grilled leg and thigh meal at a steep discount, with the sides and preparation still landing well for some orders. The app redemption can be clunky, since the deal may not confirm before checkout and staff may need to scan it in store. The biggest drawback is portion size, with the chicken described as very small and not filling, and the regular price seen as poor value. It feels best as a one day bargain rather than an everyday meal.
Shoppers who only need a light meal, because the leg-and-thigh portion is small and can fit a low-price lunch expectation.
Deal hunters wanting a cheap chicken lunch, because the promo can be a good value when the app redemption works and the sides are solid.
People who like the restaurant's sides, because the sides are consistently good even when the chicken pieces are small.
Hungry diners wanting a filling entrée, because the leg-and-thigh portion is very small and may not fill you up.
Value-focused buyers comparing portions, because the meal can feel overpriced for two small pieces of chicken and a drink purchase.
Shoppers expecting a standard combo meal, because the drink is no longer included and costs extra.
People who want a reliable app checkout, because the app may not confirm the deal and can require staff to scan it at the restaurant.

I'm amazed people pay nearly $14 for this meal...or $11 without a soda.
Not bueno!
