Purex liquid laundry detergent is landing as a very cheap bulk buy, especially for Walgreens pickup orders that clear the $10 minimum. The strongest value came from stacking Walgreens credit and rewards, with one order of eight jugs costing just $0.23, and the free pickup threshold was reached with five items. Ibotta can also shave off another $0.50 on in store purchases. Availability is uneven, though, and the Linen and Lilies scent was out of stock in some areas.

  • Walgreens gift credit and a $5 reward reportedly enabled extremely low per-jug pricing for multiple detergent jugs.

  • The deal reportedly still worked using the workaround without ad-blockers or a private browser window.

  • Ordering enough items to reach the free store pickup threshold reportedly helped complete the deal efficiently.

  • Using Ibotta for an additional $0.50 off reportedly reduced the effective price for an in-store purchase.

  • The Linen & lilies scent reportedly was not in stock anywhere in the buyer's area, limiting availability for the deal.

  • Some washing experiences reportedly caused throat burning and a horrible taste in the mouth after washing sheets with detergent.

  • Detergent use reportedly may contribute to residue buildup in washer seams, which can irritate skin and may require cleaning the washer.

  • Walgreens deal mechanics reportedly made the promotion less appealing due to the $10 minimum and workaround requirements.

I just can't do these Walgreen's deals anymore with the $10 minimum and the workaround. If that even works anymore. I wish it was CVS, no minimum.
The workaround still works without ad-blockers or in a private window.

There $0.50 off one if you use Ibotta and purchase in-store (scan receipt) so $1.49. So pick-up one more in-store when you get your online order.

Any time I wash my sheets with ANY detergent I wake up with a horrible taste in my mouth and burning in my throat so i have to know I am dying from breathing in chemicals and nothing i can do about it because I have no clue if my washer is not rinsing it out or if I am overly sensitive or what. My fear is I am breathing in a higher amount than others do and it would obviously cause cancer.
Its probably mung in the washing machine. Stuff builds up in the seams, etc. Wash with no detergent just hot water. See if you still get irritated. Then youtube how to clean your washer.

Don't use fabric softener. Only use Free And Clear detergents. Change washing machine to the very best Speed Queen brand washer. Research before buying so you will know that they clean the best.

I have tried very, very ltitle detergent and same thing happens. I don't know what in the world is happening. I rinse extra times, have gotten new bedding, tried probably 15 different detergents, tried lower amounts. It's horrible. Very weird. What's hilarious is someone on reddit insisted that detergent chemicals are not bad for you to breathe in. lol.
I personally huff Tide a lot. It helped me quit eating fruits and vegetables.

Years ago I bought Persil laundry detergent and I loved it. It smelled great. After a few weeks I noticed my arms were itching. It got worse before I realized that I was obviously reacting to something in that detergent. I stopped using anything but free and clear, unscented detergents and never had that issue again. Be sure your washer is clean (no mold/mildew) and only use a tiny bit of detergent (2 TBLS or so). Good luck!

The only saving grace for the crappy Nelly's I'm using is that it's like washing with no detergent. no scents and rinses clean. then again use an old school speed queen that uses up tons of water. I also line dry outside.

Have you tried different forms of detergent, powder vs. liquid?

Also stay away from any scented products. I'm. Ot sure of your health insurance situation but this calls for a doctor/specialist.
yeah the latest is powder and it gets all in the air even if I am extra careful. I've used all the free and gentle ones with9ut scents etc... No clue what is g0ing on. I could ask a dr, but I just figure they will think I'm crazy and plus not know a solution either way.... but it's definitely happening. Always gets much better 2 or 3 days after I washed them. Then as soon as I wash them it starts right back up being bad.

Possible. Or also could be some built up in the dryer too. I have run a cycle to try to supposedly clean it, but I did nothing other than have water in it. So i could try something and see. I am wondering if I just got an extreme allergy randomly start up in the past 10 or so years and maybe it will do it no matter what i do. I think my parents' washed sheets (at their house) bothered me too. Buit they use full on tide and so they have a strong scent no matter what.

I don't use fabric softener and I do use the free and gentle types of detergents. I also do research any purchase I make, but sadly nothing can be trusted anymore. I spent $2k on a mattress that is still hurting my shoulder 1 year after buying it. But all these people on reddit said how great it was and it had good reviews both from public and professional people. Seems like any type of product just sucks now.
