Also, he advocated for the negative income tax which became the earned income tax credit under President Ford and is responsible for lifting millions out of poverty.
And also free trade and free immigration. Turns out it was a 60 year era of prosperity and we've now reverted to the pre-Friedman anti-trade anti-immigration norm.
Also deregulation, which you can thank for today's low fares on flights and ground shipping.
I mean he was too libertarian for me. He wanted to legalize all drugs and transfer all protected federal lands to the Sierra Club so the government can't go back on its promises. But we should all be glad we adopted a lot of his ideas.
