The offer should appear under the "Rewards & Deals" section on 9/9.

Likely will require an account in order to redeem, probably can't combine with other offers, etc.,

This promo is a free Big Mac with a small qualifying purchase, and it stands out most as a cheap way to grab McDonald's signature sandwich. The deal is easy to hit with a drink or a small add on, and the app has shown regional prices and targeted offers as low as $1.76 or $2. The main drawback is the sandwich itself, which is repeatedly described as smaller than expected, heavy on bun and sauce, and not worth full price. It works best as a coupon driven lunch rather than a regular menu buy.

  • Deal hunters who only buy this sandwich on promotions, because the regular price feels too high and the offer makes it worth ordering.

  • Lunch buyers who already want a drink, because the $2 minimum can be met with a soda and the sandwich becomes effectively free.

  • People who like customizing a burger, because extra patties or bacon can be added to reach the minimum and improve the meat-to-bread ratio.

  • Fans of the classic sauce-and-soft-bun profile, because the sandwich still hits that familiar flavor for a few buyers.

  • People expecting a hearty burger, because the sandwich can feel tiny, mostly bread, and short on meat.

  • Shoppers in areas without broad participation, because the offer can be limited to certain locations or states and may not appear nearby.

  • Anyone who wants the old flavor back, because the sandwich can taste like cardboard and no longer tastes like it used to.

  • People who want a filling meal without extra add-ons, because the sandwich alone can feel barely edible and heavy on sauce with little beef.

My eyes just about watered when I checked my app for the local price for the sandwich alone. $7.79

It's deals like this that are the only times I buy one.

$1.79 medium soda, $.030 condiment, and a free Big Mac will be my lunch on the 9th.

the "big" mac has 3oz of meat, between 2 patties. thats less than a quarter pound, which is often standard for a burger patty. theres almost more bread than meat. that should never be the case. the big mac is an embarassment to what a burger should be.

that said, $2 is the correct price for a big mac. i find removing one of the buns better balances the bread to meat ratio.

Fun Fact: McDonald's had a Little Mac first. It's a Big Mac with a single patty. Offered abroad in markets with lower caloric consumption.

They are starting to realize this. McD brought back $2 breakfast sandwich app coupons nationwide.

Not seeing any other signals supporting it, so that may be right.

Burger King is nationwide all week though.

At $2 is it yet worth it.

It just does not taste like it used to.

I had one shortly before the pandemic, for the first time in like a decade, and it was still tasting like cardboard with thousand island dressing on it.
