Sure seems that way - check out the photos for the deal beyond the first two. This is essentially both a tablet and a productivity machine that can do some light gaming in a large tablet form factor. Really really good for someone who wants a device that can "do it all" aside from modern AAA gaming - and you pay a reasonable premium for having a single device that can do almost everything.

The Z13 is a tablet with a detachable keyboard. It has a Ryzen 390/395 APU which is generally worse than a 5060 for gaming outside of VRAM limited scenarios, 32GB shared RAM vs 24GB total RAM on the low-end 5060 laptop (16GB of system RAM + 8GB of VRAM).

Honestly the only Z13 that's really worth anything is the 128GB RAM model since it's useful for LLMs/Generative AI, which is why the lower ram ones always get discounted. A laptop that has a 5070/5070ti with 12GB of VRAM is likely preferable for most gaming if you can find one on sale for a similar price.

Thanks. So, why is the Lenovo Legion is the link below not the better deal if you aren't satisfied with the 2 in 1? At $1,399 (Today's price only; tomorrow it reverts to $1,499) for a reputable brand/line with good build, superior cooling, efficient Ryzen processor, OLED screen, and RTX 5060?

It's because it's apples to oranges. One is a 13" tablet and the other is a 15" laptop. That's like asking why the laptop isn't a better deal than a 8" gaming handheld with a weaker processor and graphics.

Also before storage and RAM went up due to the AI-pocalypse, that 5060 configuration would've gone on sale for $1000-1100. I know because I bought a Legion 5060 last year for that much.

Those types have MASSIVELY underpowered hardware and slow storage. I've researched them and real reviews usually say that they're nearly unusable for modern everyday apps and buggy.

The only good options are Apple and Samsung (the high-end tablets from the past few years are way too heavy IMO). I would personally just buy a larger screen smartphone on sale. Even the lower-end Motorolas and Samsungs should be able to handle most non-graphically intensive games.

Please do not try to recommend a "better" product without first understanding the main features of the product you're comparing against. The Flow Z13 is a tablet with a touchscreen and a detachable keyboard. The AI MAX 390 has 32 CUs and can easily run a 20B local LLM at 15–20 tok/s. It's a totally different animal from the Lenovo gaming laptop in terms of form factor, feature set, and product utility.
