For the same price, anyone know anything about the Asus UG-Q1080? Adds 2x 10gb SFP ports on top. https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-QG-U1...B0FQYQHJLX

Well, the ASUS one is tagged "Frequently returned item" for one thing.

Yet 4.5 stars. No explanation for the returns.

A number of people claim the "uplink port" is limited to SFP+ (port 9), resulting in a costly purchase of a transceiver. I've owned many switches with many listing an upload/uplink/gateway port. All of them worked fine with *any port* being the port that connects to the rest of the network. For example, I have a TP link router that I use in bridge/ wired repeater mode and it has 1 10Gb port (RJ45) and 4 2.5Gb ports. The 10 gig port is listed as "WAN" on the back and everything else is listed as "LAN".It works perfect fine with a 2gig fiber connection and the 10 gig being a link to the 10 gig port on an ASUS router.I'm like 90% sure the actual issue is that ASUS (on this switch) is trying to communicate: "Bro, use a 10 gig uplink to allow multiple 2.5 devices to uplink at full speeds." and the labeling is throwing people off. (2 5x2.5Gb, 1 8x2.5Gb, and 2 4x2.5Gb+2x10Gb switches... all work with any port connecting to the broader network.)
