Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I don't like how lazy this post is. This poster always chooses the cheapest option without telling people there are other choices available for a minimal price increase.

Just getting started with my first printer here. I'm sure the OP is trying to grab attention and front page worthiness showing the $10 per roll price. I appreciate you posting the other options but have to ask if you'd also consider them slick deals, also? From my looking through past front page filament posts that $10 or less is the target price for filament, in general. Do people consider something like $10 - $13 per roll range slick worthy if you're able to mix and match? A couple of dollars difference can make or break a deal on this site.

eBay has it cheaper right now but black and white are sold out.

PLA on average is around the $10 mark, PETG (especially Rapid/HS) being $10 is kind of a good deal since its usually around $14/kg.

I'd say for less then a 10 pack, $10 is pretty average. Even looking at the this listings price on Amazon shows that it is pretty typical. A god price for PETG is around $7-$9 but usually is found when buying groups of 10.

So, not a bad deal but borderline slick. If you only need 4, it's a good deal. If you look around and get 10, not so good.

Can anyone speak to how good the high speed performance of this is? (i.e. does layer adhesion or any durability suffer from fast print speeds)? I'm newer to the high speed printing game, and it's gotten annoying finding the speed limit on all my old PETG filament requiring me to slow down all my prints while I use up my old spools.

It's a good price. Even for the different colors. This is Elegoo which is a very highly regarded brand for filament and PETG rapid so it would tack on a bit of a premium for that as well. Also have some different color options $10/roll is a very generic sentiment that doesn't provide any nuance on filament pricing at all. That goal is really only for off brand basic PLA and almost always in basic colors. If you're printing huge pieces or have a printing farm and don't care about color then It's fine. But if you're more of a hobbyist and color and finish matter to you a couple bucks aren't going to make a difference. PETG maybe isn't the best to start out with. It's a bit more finicky than PLA to print with. Hot take I don't think it adds much structural strength to most prints. I use it mostly for things that need high temp resistance and a bit more flexibility.
