Is m18 good enough or we need the m22 22inch one for generic household diy?

The m18 gives 18 feet of reach, the m22 gives 22 feet. Your question is super specific to your home, really. If you have high / vaulted ceilings, you might need more than 18ft of reach. But as a step ladder, the m22 can get unwieldy

The bigger the better until you actually have to lift/move these things, they suck to maneuver.

They suck to maneuver but they're really good for my peace of mind as someone living on their own. The weight is the point for me.

Fixing holes that you put in your own walls is never fun!

Wondering what's so "Megalite" about a 30lb ladder.

These are amazing ladders, but this is also why I'd like to get a real telescoping ladder to use most of the time instead of one like this.
