This Sondiko propane torch head is a low-cost option for starting fires and searing meat, including sous vide finishes, and the promo code has worked at checkout for multiple orders. The adjustable flame and compact torch head make it useful for kitchen and outdoor use, and the price is far below a previous $25 purchase. The main drawbacks are ignition and tank connection issues, with reports of slow, leaky threading and inconsistent lighting. The igniter also sits on the butt of the handle instead of a trigger, which may affect comfort and preference.
Common Questions (5)
The code has been working for many shoppers, but it appears to be targeted and may require several checkout attempts or page refreshes. It has also been reported to work on both regular and business accounts, with the business price dropping to $9.79.
It can light normally, but several reports mention ignition problems: some units need multiple tries or a 2-second hold on the button, and some igniters quit after a few uses. If the spark fails, it can still be used by manually lighting it.
It is reported to work well for starting fires and searing meat, including sous vide food. The adjustable flame makes it useful for kitchen searing and outdoor fire-starting.
Some units are reported to be hard to screw onto the tank and can leak a lot of gas during attachment. One workaround is connecting it outdoors, since the leak can be strong enough to make indoor setup unpleasant.
The igniter is on the butt of the handle rather than a trigger-style ignitor. That layout may matter if you prefer a trigger ignition setup.

EDIT: NEVERMIND, It kept rejecting, saying "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase." but then when going back to my cart to buy something else the promo was applied. So weird.
