I bought it for $32 last month from there. It has usb c and it will work with just the usb cable from the laptop to the screen, but it will be slightly dim until you use the 2nd usb c port on the screen for power. I used a 20,000mah power brick to power the screen for the 9 hours I worked every day for the week I used it. It's a good monitor but the stand is the weak link. I found a 3d print for a small stand and used that instead of cover one.

This model goes to full brightness on a MacBook Pro M5 Pro for me, despite the warning on screen that it may turn off

I got mine from this deal as well and will second the poor cover/ stand that is permanently attached. I use mine at my desk at work as a 4th monitor and an easy solution if I need to travel to other buildings with my laptop. Unfortunately, the mini-HDMI port on mine doesn't work properly. I reached out to Acer about it with pictures and video of the malfunction and they had me jump through hoops only to tell me that they can't replace the monitor or give a partial refund. They can only offer a full refund after they receive the returned monitor and have their technicians inspect it. I thought that was pretty ridiculous for a $32 purchase so I just kept it and found a way to reorganize my monitors to use the type C video input instead. No idea why they didn't offer a replacement when these are obviously still in stock and have been since I got mine lol.

I believe it. I would've been happy with even a $5 partial refund. Honestly, I don't have MUCH to complain about at the price I paid. I just don't really see the cost efficiency of Acer ONLY accepting a return in order to refund IF (and only if) you ship the refurbished monitor back to them (on their dime) and wait for their technician to determine whether or not your already documented issues can be replicated.
At the same time, the deal seemed good enough to roll the dice on so I don't have a whole lot of room to complainand they probably don't have much incentive to make it easier
