I've been considering upgrading to a smart toilet for a while now but just can't bring myself to pull the plug on the cost when I already have the cheaper solution which works great for my needs. I've been using the Luxe Bidet 180 attachment that fastens under my regular toilet seat since 2014, only cost $35 and still does a fantastic job 12 years later. The only differences being mine uses cold water, nice in the summer and shockingly freezing in the winter but always refreshing. It also has no pre flush to eliminate solids from sticking to the bowl (just manually flush first if an issue) no auto flush, no warm air drying, and most importantly no expensive electronics to break. I'd recommend anyone that's considering a smart toilet try out the cheap solution before investing a ton of money. My son who installed mine and mocked me mercilessly and called me a weirdo at the time now has 2 smart toilets at his house and my daughter just installed one at her home a month ago. Honestly once you've tried them you'll be hooked and when it's time for the colonoscopy prep you'll appreciate them even more. I also forgot to mention the toilet paper savings.
