The ram/storage alone is worth at least $200.
Always been a fan of the elitebooks, not a fan of modern HP though.

I was looking to buy 8G/16G ddr4 and 256G sdd for my current machines recently. But I changed my mind after the ongoing price increase.
I have to go back to my old storage of m2 ssd with 80% and 66% health and probably re-use them, instead of buying new.
In the past, when the ssd health dropped below 80%, we would dump it and buy new. Not anymore.
I would have ordered the certified refurbished of this laptop for $380, if I don't have a pending order on a different
Elitebook order from a different non-Ebay seller. I think I had a good deal but they have not shipped since last week. There is a small chance this is trouble. So, stay with Ebay might be a good idea.
The 32G ddr4 RAM was $120 two weeks ago. Now, they cost $180 to $200.

How do you rate this for another $100'ish more https://ebay.io/m/3SOPga
This said, if they are unwilling to do this and you decide to order this one, I would wait until you receive both before returning the Newegg. It could turn out that the Newegg one is in better shape and for $40 that would be worth it.
You can download software online to stress test it and in particular take a look at the SSD hours and the read/writes - even with a SSD format these hours still stay so you can know if it was a heavily used or a light used machine. Good luck either way.
